Position: (USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

(USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach – Walmart

Base Pay Range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, and area cleanliness.
  • Assess economic trends and community needs to oversee stocking and rotation of merchandise, set up cleaning, organize product displays, and secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
  • Lead and develop teams through teaching, training, active listening, touring stores, and providing feedback.
  • Facilitate Tour‑to‑Teach initiatives, communicate and collaborate with all associate levels regarding store operations and technology.
  • Model exceptional customer service, support initiatives, resolve complaints, develop action plans, and improve the customer experience.
  • Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize associates, and maintain recruiting to meet staffing needs.
  • Control merchandise loss, improve profitability by setting performance goals, monitoring inventory variations, conducting audits, and implementing improvements.
  • Train managers and associates on operational controls and processes across multiple stores.
  • Investigate violations of company policies, conduct investigations, gather evidence, write case reports, and provide courtroom testimony as needed.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls, supervise safety team, identify accident trends, provide training, and implement workplace safety improvements.
  • Manage asset‑protection safety procedures, claims, and receiving operations, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, support company mission, values, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.
  • Foster an inclusive culture, respect individuals, build high‑performing teams, and promote continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a multi‑department environment, OR
  • 1 year of experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi‑department environment, OR
  • 2 years of experience in asset protection or a related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (age, training, certification, licensing).
  • Current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
  • Criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).
  • Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments (Academy, Open Door, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U) and Bellevue University;
    Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U).
  • Certification in an asset‑protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
  • Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Criminal Justice.
