Room Service Server

Position Objective

Under the supervision of the In Room Dining Supervisor, deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in accordance with hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the In Room Dining area, guest hallway, break‑down area, and all equipment. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, beverage offerings, and be able to present all items professionally. Deliver amenities to guests and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities, in‑house groups, daily house count, and hours of operation of each outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beer, and non‑alcoholic selections available through In Room Dining.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method, ingredients, sauces, preparation time, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
• Maintain complete knowledge of guest room layout, locations, and room numbers/names. Retrieve all food orders from the kitchen and all alcoholic beverages VAT from the bar to place on the table/tray in accordance with departmental standards Gst.
• Serve food items and beverages to guests in accordance with departmental standards.
• Follow and support service commitments and core values.

• High‑school graduate; some college coursework preferred.
• In Room Dining service experience preferred.
• Certification in previous training for liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
• Certification in alcohol awareness program and food handling certificate preferred.

• ‌സS Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for hotel guests.
• Excellent communication in English with guests, management, and co‑workers.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to use Micros and manual systems.
• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcohol.
• Ability to exert physical effort while transporting trays and tables from service area to guests.

• Ability to focus on details, maintain good coordination, and work cohesively with co‑workers as part of a team with minimal supervision.

• Stand during entire shift (90%).
• Reach, bend, and frequently manipulate items (50%).
• Carry 20 lbs and push tables over a long distance (70%).
• Verbal communication with guests (75%).
