Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Quality Engineer role located in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality engineering, quality control, quality assurance, product quality, and quality management.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Guidance for implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001

-Direct communication with OE customers regarding quality issues

-Completion of 8D and continual improvement initiatives

-Evaluate performance data and implement actions for improvement

-Lead the implementation and maintenance of Lean initiatives and 5S standards

-Produce regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

-Support efforts within plant using problem solving tools, process management, measurement techniques and statistical analysis

-Create and oversee employee training to enhance safety, increase production, improve quality and ensure profitability

-Validate and assist in the development of verification and error proofing practices

-Perform internal audits per IATF requirements

-Lead and participate in 5S audits

-Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Experienced in the Automotive Industry
• Quality Engineering, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance skills
• Experience in quality management systems
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
