Mission Pet Health invites you to join our mission‑centered practice in Charleston, SC. We are seeking a passionate, full‑time Veterinary Assistant to support our Fear‑Free certified team and help patients thrive.

• Assist doctors in exam rooms.
• Collect patient history.
• Perform venipuncture and ear cytologies.
• Prepare medication and educate clients.
• Recommend preventive and lifestyle‑based care.
• Monitor sedated patients.
• Use Cornerstone software and Idexx in‑house lab.

• Tentative schedule: 4 days/week, 7:50 AM – 6:00 PM (1‑hour lunch).
• Pay range: $17–$21 per hour.

• Strong customer‑service and critical‑thinking skills.
• Passion for low‑stress handling and Fear‑Free care.
• Ability to pivot and provide personalized client service.
• Team player with a warm, authentic approach.
• Fear‑Free Certification required – we cover the cost.

• Provide essential patient care and support the medical team.
• Anticipate veterinarian needs to ensure smooth workflow.
• Create a positive client experience through scheduling, payments, and communication.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Calm, efficient approach for fast‑paced settings.
• Confidence in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills a strong asset.
