We offer an impressive starting pay range of $19.00 – $22.00 per hour with applicable shift differentials. Additional base pay is available for experience and bonus opportunities.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bishop Gadsden, you provide quality care by assisting residents with personal, nutritional, and restorative care. The successful candidate will be a resident advocate that is friendly, energetic, organized, and compassionate toward the elderly.
A Typical Day- Assist licensed personnel with basic nursing care for assigned residents.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, showering, shampooing, oral hygiene, skin care, hair care, nail care, dressing, and shaving as needed.
- Assist residents with nutritional needs, serving, feeding, and ensuring proper fluid intake.
- Assist with restorative care, including range‑of‑motion exercises, proper positioning, and ambulation.
- Perform procedures such as measuring weight, height, vital signs, specimen collection, intake/output, and catheter care.
- Receive and give reports on resident condition at the start and end of each shift.
- Exchange resident information with the charge nurse continuously.
- Communicate and cooperate with multidisciplinary team members to accomplish the plan of care.
- Accompany residents to appointments as directed by the nursing supervisor.
- Launder residents’ personal items as needed.
- Accept additional duties as necessary in a cooperative manner.
- Adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements.
- Adhere to facility and departmental safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform all responsibilities with adherence to Resident’s Rights and HIPAA.
- Must be a Certified Nurse’s Aide listed on the South Carolina Nurse Aide registry with an active certification and be in good standing.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in all aspects of long‑term care for the elderly.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to exchange information and maintain courteous relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
