Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a SC or compact RN license, BLS, and PALS certifications. Responsibilities Work in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool, floating to all pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU Patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:3 Full-time schedule of 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00am to 7:30pm Required to work every other weekend and participate in a holiday rotation Uses EPIC EMR Responsible for providing care to critically ill pediatric patients across various specialized units First-time travelers are accepted if experience requirements are met All requested time off must be submitted with application and is subject to unit needs Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a different pay rate Block scheduling requests require manager approval and are dependent on unit needs Previous permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year before being eligible as a traveler Completion of pre-start online modules is required May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November) Scrub color and holiday coverage expectations will be provided during onboarding Requirements Active SC or compact (multi-state) RN license Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications Minimum 2 years of pediatric ICU experience required
