Job Description

If you are interested in any of the Specialty Acute Care and Stepdown Transplant Units listed below, please apply to this posting by February 11, 2026.

5W Specialty Acute Care

MUSC 5 West Main Hospital is a 16-bed adult medical-surgical unit where teamwork, integrity, and professional growth take center stage. We specialize in delivering exceptional care to a diverse patient population, including transplant recipients in pre- and post-operative settings and those managing acute or chronic liver conditions. Even in a fast-paced environment, our collaboration and shared commitment make every day rewarding.

Whether we’re celebrating wins or lifting each other up during challenges, we take pride in providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Join our team and discover a workplace where every shift is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact!

6E Stepdown Transplant

Main 6E Transplant is a dynamic 22-bed adult inpatient unit dedicated to caring for fresh post-operative solid organ abdominal transplant patients. Our nurses play a vital role in supporting kidney, liver, and kidney/pancreas transplant recipients through every stage of their journey, from pre-transplant preparation to post-transplant recovery. Work in both Intermediate/Stepdown and Acute Care settings, allowing you to broaden and strengthen your clinical skills.

Intermediate Care nurses manage highly specialized patients with arterial lines and advanced drips. We invest in your success. All nurses become ACLS certified and trained in peritoneal dialysis within the first six months, building a strong clinical foundation that opens doors across the organization. While transplant is our core specialty, MH6E cares for a wide range of acute care patients, giving nurses continuous opportunities to learn and refine their practice.

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, team-focused environment where you can grow your expertise, expand your scope, and make a life-changing impact on patients and families, Main 6E Transplant is the place for you.
