Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager reports to the Director/Service Line Administrator and is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of the department/unit on a 24‑hour basis. The Nurse Manager ensures the provision of the department in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that respects others, holds accountability for outcomes, and adapts to change.

- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required. Currently enrolled in a master's program from an accredited college/university is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least three years of nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent).
- Optional:
American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working outside in temperature extremes, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing pinching operations, gross motor activities with fingers and hands, firm grasping with fingers and hands, fine manipulation with fingers and hands, reaching overhead, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, using lower extremities for balance and coordination, reaching in all directions.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted; lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 unassisted; lift from 36 to overhead 25 lbs.; exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
- Maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes; ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance; match/discriminate between colors; determine distance/relationship between objects; good peripheral vision; maintain hearing acuity; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements; deal effectively with stressful situations; work rotating shifts; work overtime; work in a latex safe environment;
maintain tactile sensory functions; maintain good olfactory sensory function (selected positions); be qualified physically for respirator use (selected positions).
