Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care per the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Responsibilities
  • Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift; identifies and reports any changes in patient status.
  • Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates patient needs to resolve them proactively.
  • Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes recovery.
  • Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year applicable experience in behavioral health or related nursing field.
  • Active registered professional nurse license in the state(s) of practice or active compact license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
