Position Overview
The Chemotherapy Infusion RN is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process while providing direct patient care in an outpatient infusion setting. This role emphasizes patient education, self‑management, safety, and satisfaction while overseeing the administration of specialized oncology treatments.
Key Responsibilities Include- Overseeing the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and therapeutic phlebotomy in accordance with strict hazardous drug safety guidelines
- Completing comprehensive physiological and psychosocial patient assessments
- Monitoring patients closely for adverse reactions or side effects during and after treatment and initiating appropriate interventions
- Coordinating care in collaboration with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Managing IV access, including PIVs, PICCs, CICCs, and implanted ports
- Providing patient and family education on disease processes, treatment plans, potential side effects, and self‑care strategies
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in CPRS or other electronic health record systems
- Supporting a safe work environment and participating in quality improvement and evidence‑based practice initiatives
- 2 years chemo/immunotherapy experience
- Valid license in South Carolina
- CPR/BLS certification
- COVID‑19 vaccination required

Pay Details$48.00 to $50.00 per hour
