- atleast 2 years of nursing experience and some oncology experience is required

Day-to-Day:
Insight global is looking for an experience registered nurse to join an outpatient cancer center in downtown Charleston, SC. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
This Clinic is a busy adult Oncology clinic that sees a wide variety of oncology patients. The clinic team consists of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and administrative assistants who work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality and safety of care for our patients. Each clinic workflow varies depending on the clinic, but includes working as a team that includes: patient triage, in-clinic procedures, assessments, patient education, medication administration, CVC line care, obtaining EKG, and care coordination.
Team members work alongside providers (including physicians, PAs and NPs) during patient clinic visits to provide the needed care our patients deserve. Other team members that we work alongside include:
Social workers, Pharmacists, and Phlebotomists.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing Patients: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients' health status.
- Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about the disease, treatment plans, and potential side effects.
- Symptom Management: Managing side effects and providing palliative care to ensure patient comfort.
- Monitoring: Monitoring patients' vitals and progress throughout treatment.
- Coordination: Coordinating care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Emotional Support: Providing psychological support to patients and their families.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
This position is M-F 8 a-5p. No weekends or holidays required!
