Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of pediatric ICU experience and current BLS and PALS certifications.

• Position is in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Floats to all pediatric critical care units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Patient ratios are 1:2 to 1:3
• Day shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is preferred
• Will provide critical care nursing across multiple specialized pediatric units as patient needs require
• First-time travelers with the required experience are welcome
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Block scheduling may be considered but requires managerial approval
• Local candidates living within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application, and approval is based on unit needs
• Mandatory participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June–November)
• Pre-assignment online modules must be completed prior to start

• Active South Carolina or compact RN license required and must be in hand before the start date
• Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience required
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required
• Preferred experience with ECMO and CRRT
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
