In this role, you will be involved in providing high‑quality patient care in cardiothoracic surgery, collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. • Assist in pre‑operative and post‑operative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Perform patient assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and recovery
• Participate in patient rounds and contribute to surgical discussions
• Document patient care accurately in medical records

• Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
• Current licensure as an NP or PA in the state of practice
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Schedule:

24‑hour call shifts, specific dates

Will assist with complex cardiovascular surgeries

Team Structure: 1 surgeon, 1 APPs

EMR: eCW

Endovascular Vein Harvesting certification required

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
