The Main Operating Room at MUSC Health is within a level one, academic trauma center featuring 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, Robotics, and Pediatric Hearts. The team comprises 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists. RNs are trained to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures. This department is nurse-driven, Magnet designated, and equipped with cutting-edge technology, serving the citizens of South Carolina.

• Hours: 36 hours/week, with 3-12 hour shifts, including rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Under general supervision, provide individualized, goal-directed patient care utilizing nursing principles and practices. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

• Minimum of one year of RN work experience.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; if hired with an Associate or Diploma degree after July 1, 2013, enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years and completion within four years is required.
• Current RN licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Must be able to perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces. Visual and auditory acuity, stress management, and the ability to work rotating shifts are essential.
