About Charleston Hope:
Charleston’s only nonprofit uniquely focused on supporting students and teachers in the school building by providing mental health counseling for students, trauma-informed training for teachers, and an after-school girls empowerment program that helps create a school environment where all students and teachers can thrive.

Role Description

As the Step-In Coordinator at Charleston Hope, you will play a crucial role in organizing and executing program activities aimed at fostering the personal and academic growth of our participants. This multifaceted role demands exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with program participants, volunteers, and stakeholders. With strong organizational abilities, you will ensure that activities are implemented seamlessly, creating a supportive and enriching environment for young girls.

Your commitment to empowerment will be evident as you inspire and motivate participants to reach their full potential. Through your dedication and passion, you will contribute significantly to the positive impact Charleston Hope has on the lives of the girls we serve.

Qualifications
  • Must have interest to work in education, nonprofit programming, mental/behavioral health, or community development programs.
  • Must have experience in a relevant field or training.
  • Experience and/or training in racial equity and inclusion; if none – must be willing to have extensive training upon hiring.
  • Experience creating a safe and inclusive space for a diverse community of stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills and meeting apps, including Google Drive,  and Zoom.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
