Overview
The job holder must plan and implement adequate actions to meet the operational goals and regulatory requirements. If required, the planning and implementation of the necessary actions should be discussed with the supervisors of interface departments as well as management.
Operational and Organizational Responsibilities- Accountable and responsible for cleaning production equipment like pots, totes and pumps
- Maintain and service empty production pots (nozzle, label, identification)
- Safely operate semi automated cleaning machine
- Safely operate compactor
- Safely operate floor cleaning machines
- Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment
- Operator maintenance for cleaning machine, compactor, forklift, material handling equipment, floor cleaning device, compactor and other needed equipment
- Weekly clean and maintain clean floors of all areas in Production, Logistics and Warehouse (vacuum, clean with machine or manual)
- Monthly clean and maintain clean windows of Supply Chain building
- Weekly empty all dust collectors and dispose of residue
- Collect, separate and sort all hazardous waste disposal materials (liquid and solid)
- Collect, separate and sort all non hazardous waste disposal (liquids)
- Collect, separate and sort all isocyanate waste disposal
- Collect, separate and sort all empty container, drums, pallets
- Coordinate and organize hazardous waste pick ups with provider
- Coordinate and organize pick up for all recycling and waste related provider (vendor, service provider, house waste etc.)
- Collect, separate and sort all waste (hazardous, liquid and house waste) from production and adjacent departments (e.g. Logistics, Lab, ATA)
- Implement strategies to recycle and reuse in order to reduce waste
- implement and train staff on the recycling and waste streams to correctly recycle all waste
- Organize and be responsible for the outside recycling area (including empty drum organization and recycling, empty tote handling, waste container and recycling, empty pallets, special waste)
- Clean and organize work area on an ongoing basis to ensure facility remains pristine.
- Perform and pass Environmental Waste Management: RCRA and DOT Regulatory training
- Additional tasks as assigned.
- Meet all required safety standards and hazardous material regulatory
- Be capable of safely handling hazardous waste and minimize hazards by being able to wear all required safety equipment and protective clothing as required by law and/or company policy. This includes, but is not limited to: safety shoes, safety glasses, uniforms, respirators and gloves.

- Must be able to handle 55 gallon drums safely and efficiently
- Must be able to lift 55lb bags/containers
- Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
- Able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
- Perform routine checks on equipment and notify Maintenance of any potential issues.
- Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Follow all written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Be able to read and understand written instructions such as safety data sheets and other pertinent information necessary to perform assigned job functions.
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated personality to manage daily tasks & responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes consistent lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Able to work 8-hour shifts standing.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Implement and actively participate in continuous improvement projects (CIP)
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Basic technical knowledge.
- Detailed know how of relevant processes and procedures (core processes, work places, work instruction, testing instructions individual job descriptions).
- Willingness to cooperate, team spirit.
- Be solution oriented.
- Basic knowledge for quality management (CIP, FMEA, 5S, LEAN-management).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- The position requires the ability to travel both domestically and internationally, including to countries and customers that may require proof of vaccination.
