Systems Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, technically skilled Project Manager to oversee projects involving structured cabling, audiovisual systems, and electronic security infrastructure (access control, surveillance, etc.). This role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously—from kickoff through close‑out—while ensuring delivery on time, within scope, on budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Oversee installation of structured cabling (Cat6, fiber), AV systems (displays, conferencing), and security systems (CCTV, access control).
- Coordinate daily activities with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as TIA/EIA, NEC, BICSI, and company policies.
- Prepare, manage, and track project budgets.
- Ensure cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and vendor proposals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide consistent updates on progress, timelines, and potential risks.
- Proactively manage expectations and resolve issues in the field.
- Conduct site walks, inspections, and quality checks.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Document, track, and resolve any project deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, schedules, daily logs, and close‑out documentation.
- Prepare post‑project evaluations, lessons learned, and improvement recommendations.
- 5+ years of experience in Construction or Telecom Project Management.
- Strong technical background in Structured Cabling and AV installations.
- Proficiency in project tracking, forecasting, billing, and resource management.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience using Bluebeam and other project documentation tools.
- Familiarity with AIA billing standards.
- Experience using Site Owl or similar AV/security project tracking platforms.
- Advanced Bluebeam skills for markups, collaboration, and drawing management.
This is a Permanent position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
