Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations at a large, high-performing facility in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a team-focused professional who is passionate about safety leadership, process improvement, people development, and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for managing production activities, driving a strong safety culture, enhancing quality, and developing a skilled and engaged workforce. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will guide, coach, and empower your team to consistently deliver results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily production operations in alignment with plant policies and Standard Work
- Foster a zero‑incident safety culture through awareness, training, and continuous improvement
- Train, mentor, and develop production team members to achieve goals
- Coordinate shift schedules, labor allocation, startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Conduct performance coaching, feedback, and development discussions
- Diagnose quality issues and ensure compliance with Control Plans and Job Safety Analysis
- Drive LEAN manufacturing initiatives for process improvement
- Communicate effectively with plant leadership and cross‑functional teams
- Complete administrative reporting and support production as needed
- Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis processes
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work night shift (7 PM–7 AM) on a rotating schedule (3 days/4 days weekly)
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and operational excellence
- Experience with LEAN principles preferred
- Solid planning, organizational, and leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Oracle experience is a plus - Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement
