The Precision Health Institute Co-Administrator will serve as the primary operational lead for the MUSC Precision Health Institute (PHI) led by Drs. Russell Norris and Steve Skinner. This role requires high-level integration of administrative, research, and strategic functions to strengthen collaboration at an institutional scale and advance the mission of the PHI and MUSC as a whole.
Program Manager I Details• Part‑time position; weekly schedule of 20 hours.
Job Duties- Program Management (25%)
Manage programmatic functions of the PHI, coordinating operations with multiple institutes and research cores; scheduling, resource allocation, documentation management; monitor progress toward objectives and integrate operational priorities. - Communication, Outreach and Reporting (25%)
Serve as primary point of contact for the PHI; maintain clear, professional communication with stakeholders; assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting; promote Institute initiatives and coordinate messaging. - Budgeting and Financial Oversight (25%)
Oversee financial operations: tracking expenses, processing invoices, preparing reports; anticipate financial needs and identify new funding opportunities; support grant proposal development. - Collaboration (15%)
Collaborate with PHI’s Clinical and Scientific Directors, faculty, staff, and external partners; facilitate dialogue, integrate perspectives, and foster a collaborative culture. - Compliance and Policy Adherence (5%)
Ensure adherence to MUSC policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; coordinate documentation, certifications and audits. - Event Planning and Coordination (5%)
Organize workshops, seminars, town halls and other large‑scale events; manage logistics and participant engagement.
A bachelor's degree and three years relevant program experience.
Physical Requirements- Continuous – 6‑8 hours per shift; ability to work in an upright position.
- Frequent – 2‑6 hours per shift; ability to work seated, while walking/mobile and to perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders.
- Infrequent – 0‑2 hours per shift; ability to work outdoors in all weather and temperature extremes, work in confined/cramped spaces, perform ‘pinching’ operations and lift objects up to 15 lbs.
- Vision – maintain 20/40 corrected vision in at least one eye; ability to see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance; good peripheral vision and color discrimination.
- Hearing – maintain hearing acuity; ability to understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet.
