We are seeking a highly accomplished Hotel General Manager to lead and live on property at a distinctive hospitality asset. This role requires a hands-on, revenue-focused leader with a strong background in sales, marketing, and demand generation, combined with exceptional operational discipline and guest experience expertise.
The ideal candidate is a builder, someone who thrives in owner-facing environments, understands how to grow revenue across all channels, and can personally drive sales strategy while developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Own and execute the overall revenue strategy, including rooms, and ancillary revenue streams
- Personally lead and mentor the sales function, with deep involvement in long term guest stays.
- Local market relationships and community partnerships
- Rate strategy, yield management, and channel optimization
- Collaborate with ownership to identify new revenue opportunities and asset enhancement strategies
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and demand patterns to maximize profitability
- Provide on-property leadership, ensuring a consistently elevated guest experience across all touchpoints
- Establish and maintain exceptional service standards while driving efficiency and cost control
- Oversee all departments with a focus on accountability, communication, and results
- Act as the visible ambassador of the property to guests, partners, and the local community
- Build, inspire, and retain a high-performance leadership team
- Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and guest-centric thinking
- Lead by example through presence, professionalism, and decisive action
- Ensure compliance with all brand, legal, and safety standards
- Serve as the primary liaison with ownership
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting
- Balance short-term revenue gains with long-term asset value and brand positioning
- Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager for 3+ years.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, not just maintaining operations
- Strong sales background with the ability to actively participate in deal-making and relationship building
- Experience living on property or willingness to do so
- Financial acumen with a strong understanding of P&L management
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an owner’s mentality
- Highly visible, energetic, and service-oriented
