- Assists the Safety Manager in facilitating an injury and incident-free workplace by evaluating, monitoring, accounting for, and assisting with all aspects of occupational safety programs and site safety.
- Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance
- Conduct job site safety inspections
- Conduct worksite risk assessments, identifying and controlling potential hazards
- Investigate safety incidents as they arise
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- 4+ years of relevant experience and/or training
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
- Must interact well with all levels of individuals, internally and externally.
- Must possess the ability to handle change, resolve conflict and solve problems as they arise with minimal direction.
- Must possess excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Professional programs and applicable database programs
- Must be able to work in extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
- Must be able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
- OSHA 510 or 511 required.
