The Motorcycle Mechanic specializes in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining motorcycles and other powersport vehicles. The role involves performing diagnostics, repairing engines, tuning, and addressing electrical issues to ensure the vehicles are in optimal working condition. The mechanic must adhere to safety protocols and ensure each vehicle complies with regulatory standards. Additionally, the mechanic will provide support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations, advising on necessary repairs or maintenance, ensuring vehicles operate according to manufacturer specifications, and maintaining detailed service documentation to support both in-shop and virtual interactions.
Candidates must have a modern smartphone with an active internet connection to efficiently manage orders and assignments through the company app. Proficiency in navigating mobile applications, digital platforms, and app-based workflows is essential for seamless task execution and communication.
Compensation ranges from $41,600 to $72,800 per year, based on experience and availability.
Job Specifics- Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in motorcycles and powersport vehicles.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components.
- Tune engines for optimal performance and address any electrical malfunctions.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines during repairs to ensure safe and effective service.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for all repair work.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and vehicle service history for future reference.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about repairs and offering advice on maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a motorcycle mechanic or in a related field with familiarity in small engine repair. - Motorcycle mechanic certification (e.g., from an accredited program).
- 5+ years of experience in motorcycle mechanics, with advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software to assist in identifying complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality repairs.
