A general cleaner is assigned to perform overall janitorial services at the facility and may be cross‑trained in other positions to ensure operations run smoothly during absences. This position primarily consists of general housekeeping duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors; taking out trash; dusting; and cleaning restrooms. Additional duties include collecting and removing garbage, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows, and picking up debris around the facility.

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners; clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets clean, organized, and safe.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
