Mid-level Eminent Domain & Condemnation Associate

Overview

Parker Poe is seeking a Litigation Associate to join our Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice in either our Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston offices in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate-related litigation and an interest in eminent domain issues and condemnation procedures across South Carolina and Georgia.

• Represent property and business owners in eminent domain and condemnation matters, along with related property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, and real estate litigation.
• Handle hearings, discovery, and depositions; contribute to a high-volume, litigation-based practice; manage multiple matters with organization and efficiency.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of attorneys to guide clients through all phases of eminent domain proceedings and property disputes.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate related litigation; interest in eminent domain and condemnation procedures.
• Direct experience in any of: eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions (excluding residential closings), or real estate litigation.
• Proficiency in hearings, discovery, and depositions; exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, synthesize complex legal research, and thrive in a high-volume litigation environment.
