Summary
You will serve as a ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Communications and Networks division, Engineering department of NIWC ATLANTIC.
Duties- You will serve as the strategic technical subject matter expert in the development, modernization, engineering, production, cyber readiness, and sustainment for the Tactical Shore Systems Integrated Project Team (IPT) and other Navy C4I Systems.
- You will provide strategic technical leadership in the development, modernization, engineering, production, cyber readiness, and sustainment of complex Navy C4I systems.
- You will champion innovative IT solutions and proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance IT infrastructure performance, security, and resilience.
- You will lead the identification, analysis, and mitigation of complex technical risks and issues, utilizing advanced problem‑solving techniques.
- You will establish and enforce IT architecture standards and best practices, ensuring technical integrity, security, and compliance with requirements.
- You will promote and operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to optimize program delivery and responsiveness.
- You will lead and mentor diverse cross‑competency geographically dispersed teams to execute appropriate engineering processes across all levels and phases of the managing engineering tasks and resources.
- You will represent the Command to Senior Executives with the authority to present and defend the activities position, influence resource allocations, and increase knowledge sharing of technical information.
- Must be a US Citizen.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a SCI Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel‑related purchases.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE‑450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 441, proficiency level Basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
