Job Description:
A family owned and operated furniture manufacturer, importer, and distributor is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team. This company is based in the US and specializes in designing and engineering high quality wood furniture to clients across the world. This company has been around for over 20 years and is looking to expand after some recent wins and successes.
They are looking for an Engineering Manager who can oversee eCommerce & Systems Architecture to drive innovation and leadership for their eCommerce platforms. In this role, you will manage, mentor, and develop teams consisting of Full Stack Developers, Shopify Leads, System Integration Engineers and more. You will also become the main point of contact for Product Owners, translating business requirements into scalable system architecture.
Prior experience overseeing integrations with eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, and 3rd party tools in addition to evaluating new technologies and tools for strategic fit is required.
This is a full-time position and requires 5 days a week onsite in Charleston, SC for the first 3 months before becoming a 3-day hybrid position. Responsibilities- Oversee eCommerce & Systems Architecture to drive innovation and leadership for eCommerce platforms.
- Manage, mentor, and develop teams consisting of Full Stack Developers, Shopify Leads, System Integration Engineers and more.
- Serve as the main point of contact for Product Owners, translating business requirements into scalable system architecture.
- Oversee integrations with eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, and 3rd party tools and evaluate new technologies for strategic fit.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement SDLC and Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong experience with APIs and other methodologies for system integration.
- Strong background in systems architecture, with hands-on experience integrating disparate platforms (Shopify, ERP, Data Warehouse, etc.).
- Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL for data modeling, system integration, etc.
- Ability to define and implement SDLC and Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing frameworks.
- 8+ years of experience.
- BS in CS or related field is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
