We are seeking a new member to add to our Development team. Are you ready to be a part of something amazing? We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Designer with deep Shopify experience in a business environment to help design, optimize, and evolve multiple customer-facing e-commerce sites. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on production Shopify stores at scale, understands cross-functional collaboration, and knows how design decisions impact conversion, performance, and revenue.
You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, marketing, and content teams to translate business requirements into polished, conversion-focused, user-centered Shopify experiences.
- Design and optimize UI experiences for multiple Shopify storefronts, ensuring consistency, scalability, and pixel-perfect execution across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that support complex e-commerce journeys (navigation, PDPs, collections, checkout considerations).
- Build interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate concepts, edge cases, and interactions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible within Shopify’s architecture, including theme customization and app integrations.
- Partner with marketing to design high-impact landing pages, promotional templates, and reusable components.
- Leverage data, user feedback, and usability testing to continuously improve conversion, usability, and performance.
- Stay current on Shopify platform updates, advanced features, and e-commerce best practices, including accessibility and SEO.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute thoughtful, business-minded feedback.
- 2+ years of UI/UX design experience in a professional, business setting, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
- Demonstrated experience designing for live Shopify stores beyond personal or side-project sites.
- Experience working on multi-page, multi-template Shopify themes and understanding how designs scale across a catalog.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, design systems).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices for conversion-driven e-commerce.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, marketers, and product stakeholders.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions through a business lens.
- Portfolio showcasing real-world Shopify or e-commerce work (multi-page flows preferred).
- Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced features (custom checkout considerations, scripts, or complex storefront needs).
- Experience supporting multiple brands or storefronts within the same organization.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (enough to design with technical constraints in mind).
- Familiarity with user research, A/B testing, or CRO tools in an e-commerce context.
- 401(k) matching
- Dental insurance
- Employee assistance program
- Employee discount
- Flexible schedule
- Flexible spending account
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
