Inventory Technician

Insight Global is seeking an IT Inventory Technician to support the full lifecycle of employee IT hardware. This role is essential in ensuring that laptops, monitors, and other peripherals are accurately tracked, prepared, deployed, refreshed, and returned. You will work closely with internal teams and new hires to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining efficient and organized inventory operations.

• Manage end‑to‑end IT hardware lifecycle, including issuing new equipment, processing returns, and coordinating device refresh cycles.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts of laptops, monitors, and peripherals using Excel and internal tracking tools.
• Prepare, image, and troubleshoot basic hardware prior to distribution.
• Respond to ticketing requests related to equipment and inventory.
• Support daily inventory operations, handling between 5–30 laptops per day depending on workflow.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service to employees picking up or returning equipment.

• Proficiency with Excel for logging and tracking hardware.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service.
• Basic technical understanding of IT hardware (inventory, device imaging, decommissioning, equipment refresh, etc.)
• Fully onsite in Charleston, SC
• Fast‑paced and hands‑on role requiring daily interaction with employees and IT teams.
