Server Virtualization Subject Matter Expert – Top Secret Clearance

This full‑time, CONUS position requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance and may be subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Act (SCLS)/Service Contract Act (SCA).
What You’ll Do- Apply advanced programming concepts, leveraging professional and/or academic experience to develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions. Utilize object‑oriented design principles and modern programming languages to build scalable and maintainable systems.
- Implement modern software development methodologies, demonstrating expertise in Agile, Dev Ops, and Dev Sec Ops to enhance delivery efficiency. Participate in sprint planning, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Design and architect full‑stack virtualization solutions, encompassing storage, networking, and compute layers. Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and resource scalability across virtual environments.
- Implement network virtualization technologies such as SDN, NFV, and virtual switches/routers, integrating components to enhance security, manageability, and isolation in multi‑tenant or cloud‑based environments.
- Integrate GPUs within virtualized environments to support HPC, machine learning, and graphical workloads. Ensure proper driver support, virtualization compatibility, and workload optimization.
- Develop automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or scripting languages (Python, Power Shell, Bash) to streamline provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and deployment processes.
- Education & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- At least ten (10) years of professional experience with a Master’s degree or fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor’s degree in research, design, or development of computer/network software or specialized utility programs.
- Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
- Certifications
- Current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Within one and a half year of starting duties, obtain one of the following:
- Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).
- Vendor/platform‑specific certifications such as Microsoft role‑based, MCAD, MCDBA, Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or relevant cloud certifications.
- Proficiency with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
- Some overnight stays may be required.
- Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR.
- Primarily an office‑based role in Charleston, SC with flexibility for walking, moving, sitting, and standing.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices, conference rooms, and buildings on site.
