General
Summary:
Responsible for managing the human resource functions for the company. Such functions include employment and staffing, employee relations, employee compensation and benefits, employee communication, and compliance with applicable employment laws as well as developing and administering policies and procedures.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the Human Resource Department. Has the authority to make recommendations in the hiring, firing, advancement, and promotion of all company employees as well as handling concerns and recommending disciplinary action.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Payroll processing including data entry, verifying data integrity and processing required reports.
- Administer time & attendance system and maintain employee records.
- Reconcile monthly insurance, weekly staffing agency, uniform and other invoicing as required.
- Coordinate compensation and fringe benefit plans including annual open enrollment processes, eligibility and coverage issues and claim questions.
- Coordinate 401k enrollment, withdrawals and compliance.
- Represent the company in employment-related administrative hearings and other related matters.
- Participate with management team to secure and monitor insurance and 401(k) partners.
- Develop, administer and interpret company’s policies, procedures, and processes.
- Responsible for the administration of employee benefits, payroll functions, unemployment compensation and maintain compliance with FMLA leave process and all HIPPA regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for employee performance appraisal programs, wage and salary administration including insuring reviews and associated payroll adjustments are processed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for coordinating employee treatment for work related injuries and illnesses and maintaining treatment records.
- Develop and maintain regular communication with all employees to ensure that they are informed of policies, procedure, etc.
- Manage the development and maintenance of accurate employee information, including both paper and electronic records.
- Is the process owner or co-owner for the following IATF
16949 area(s):
Training. - Has the authority to stop shipment and / or to stop production to correct quality problems and prevent quality issues from reaching our customers.
- Promote the health and safety of all employees.
- Training, leadership and direction of team members.
- Complete timely reviews on applicable team members.
- Communicate timely with all departments and employees as required.
- Promote proper work ethic, enforce handbook policies, company procedures and practices, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- May be assigned other duties as required.
- Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work in and encourage a team environment and facilitate change when necessary.
- Comprehensive knowledge of human resources and industrial relations principles, practices and procedures.
- Understanding and ability to apply compensation principles and employment laws.
- Understanding of employee benefits and related governmental reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills to solve problems involving multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to gain the respect and develop a positive working relationship with both management and hourly employees.
- Negotiation skills necessary to achieve objectives and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BA or BS in human resources management or related field preferred. Masters Degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years generalist experience in human resources preferred.
- 4 years or more of HR management in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.

Frequently (34-66%) lifts 1-10 pounds. Occasionally (0-33%) lifts up to 20 pounds.
Push/Pull:
Occasionally (0-33%) push/pulls up to 20 pounds.
Environment:
Occasional exposure to ambient environmental conditions. Occasional exposure to petroleum based products and moving parts.
