Lead Housekeeping Supervisor

Under the supervision of the Director of Housekeeping, the Lead Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department, including task processing and coordination of housekeeping staff.

Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise, direct, and assure completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons masked, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Inspect site‑visit rooms and VIP arrivals; provide service for VIPs and recover guests.
  • Train and audit supervisors, room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons on hotel and Forbes 5‑star standards.
  • Assist guests as needed and work in a strong team environment.
  • Work all shifts and days of the week, maintaining flexibility.
  • Ensure timely customer needs based on pre‑shift information.
Education / Experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience of at least one year.

    Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Basic reading and counting required.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Word preferred.
Requirements
  • Coach and develop employees through basic skills and supervision.
  • Motivate by example on the production floor or in a classroom setting.
  • Promote minimum skill levels to create positive outcomes in a hot or challenging environment.
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment per OSHA regulations.
  • Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow‑through.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Organize workstations with supplies and equipment; restock as needed.
  • Report faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and other problems immediately to appropriate department.
  • Ensure work areas for next shift are stocked.
  • Physical Demands
    • Lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
    • Successfully complete the training/certification process for this position.
