RN - PICU

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday requirement if contract falls during holiday periods
• Patient ratios vary from 1:1, 1:2, to 1:3 depending on ICU and stepdown patient mix
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• 2 years of PICU experience required
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• First time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Must complete Epic charting system training
• Hurricane season emergency response team assignment may be required (June-November)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Skills include pediatric CVICU, ECMO, central venous pressure monitoring, IV insulin pumps, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and various specialized pediatric procedures

This healthcare organization operates a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18 from across the state. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The PICU cares for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative cases, and neurology/neurosurgery patients. The unit provides advanced therapies including ECMO/CRRT, dialysis, and complex supportive care with pediatric palliative care available as needed.

The facility uses Epic charting system and maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support services.
