Position: UNIV - Program Coordinator I - Psychiatry: Addiction Sciences Division

Overview

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Addiction Sciences Division to support an NIH-funded training program:
Drug Abuse Research Training (DART). The candidate will assist the Principal Investigator by supporting trainees and providing administrative and professional support for the program, including scheduling and data tracking and data entry. Strong coordinating, organizational and social skills are needed.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • 30% - Responsible for coordination and implementation for the DART program and program trainees and residents. Responsible for daily administrative activities for the DART program residents and summer fellows. Coordinate purchasing and deliveries of all necessary supplies and services for program implementation.
  • 20% - Coordinate weekly lectures for DART residents and students. Schedule other meetings (biannual evaluations, special events and speakers) as needed. Attend weekly lectures and monitor resident attendance.
  • 20% - Assist with planning and coordinating the DART Summer Research Day mini-conference. Provide communication and guidance to residents, faculty, staff and students concerning program issues and logistics. Represent DART across campus and respond to requests for information.
  • 15% - Assist with coordinating investigator’s weekly calendar, scheduling meetings as needed, as well as other coordination and administrative tasks.
  • 5% - Regularly track DART research and clinical activities of current and previous residents. Track research, clinical and academic activities of summer fellows. Produce tracking reports for grant renewals and reporting as needed.
  • 5% - Assists with program promotional content, including regular updates to DART website and related social media pages.
  • 5% - Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Preferred Training and

Experience:

A bachelor’s degree and two years relevant program experience, or master’s degree in related field. Ability to present information effectively in both written and verbal form. Knowledge of computer-based information systems desirable. Ability to present information effectively in both written and verbal form.
