Overview
UNIV-Neurology ACGME Fellowship Coordinator - Department of Neurology at MUSC Health. Serves as the Department of Neurology ACGME Fellowship Program Coordinator (Vascular Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Epilepsy) and backup ACGME Coordinator for the Neurology Residency Program. Under the direction of ACGME Program Directors, provides advanced administrative program coordination and support, and assists with general business operations for Educational programs.
Responsibilities- Supports Program Directors with the administration and scheduling of Neurology ACGME Fellows; acts as the primary program liaison to the Graduate Medical Office; provides advanced administrative support including development, maintenance & monitoring of annual budgets, scheduling, duty hour logging, preparation of complex reports and documents for ACGME/ABPN accreditations.
- Admin, coordination, and supervision of daily operation of the Fellowship Programs, including recruitment, interviews, orientations, meetings, travel, schedules (call, clinic, lecture), special events, leave requests, license renewal, and DHEC/DEA renewals; coordinates didactic lecture schedules and onboarding for Non-ACGME Fellows in Movement Disorders; VA reporting hours for Vascular Fellows; management of monthly meal cards from the GME office.
- Residency Program: serves as secondary Residency Coordinator with administration and scheduling of Neurology Residents to meet training and accreditation needs; collects and links evaluations, prints evaluations for semi-annual and annual reviews; coordinates monthly shift scheduling and VA duty hours; manages resident radiation badges in coordination with Risk Management; supports budgeting and reporting for the Residency program.
- Attend national meetings related to ACGME coordination; participate in residency recruitment events; coordinate candidate interviews, ranking meetings, and NRMP submission; perform other duties as directed by Department and Education Program Leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant program experience.
- Preferred:
Proficiency in Epic, Right Fax and Microsoft Office; knowledge of CPT codes, medical billing and diagnosis coding; experience in medical practice; ability to work with diverse groups and multi-task; experience in higher education or academic settings. - Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills; ability to work with moderate supervision.
Physical requirements:
tasks may require standing, walking, sitting for extended periods; ability to lift up to 15 lbs.; good manual dexterity and visual/hearing capabilities consistent with office/clinical settings.
