Job Description Summary
The Department of Pediatrics is hiring Chief Residents to align with the Residency Program, Administration, Clinical Care, Research, and Academics. The role of a Chief Resident anticipates an average work week of fifty hours due to variation in clinic duty such as night call and weekend call. Academic responsibilities account for roughly 2,080 per annum, and include scheduling, staffing changes, resident emergencies, educational development, information relay, technical support in the Children’s Hospital, research and QI tracking, recruitment, and resident support.
In addition to your other responsibilities, enthusiastic participation in the educational mission of the Department is expected.

Medical Doctorate or the equivalent. Licensed/eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina.
