Job Description SummaryTo coordinate the Cardiology Fellowship programs. This includes program coordinator oversight/support of three programs (General Cardiovascular Disease, EP, and ACHD programs). Overall duties include operational oversight and strategic implementation of programmatic priorities to ensure high quality Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs. Serves as subject matter expert in the field of GME, with oversight and responsibility for recruitment, credentialing, curriculum, evaluation, accreditation, compliance, fiscal, and reporting processes.
Works under general supervision of Program Director(s). Assist the Program Directors with all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, curriculum, scheduling evaluation, graduation and maintaining all records related to training activities. Provide evaluation results, assure evaluations are created and linked to the appropriate people and print out the evaluations for semiannual and annual evaluations.

Assist the Program Directors with all managing aspects of recruiting, onboarding, curriculum, scheduling evaluation, graduation and maintaining all records related to training activities. Assist with the coordination of any non-accredited program requests and implementation, as well as coordination with additional new Program Director(s), as they come to the Division of Cardiology.
Provides expert consultation to Program Directors and staff regarding curriculum and evaluation needs while creating innovative and effective methods. Utilizes data and best practices to inform strategic initiatives to advance GME HR Functions such as recruitment and resident/fellow well-being. Counsels Program Directors, faculty, staff, and residents/fellows on policies, regulatory, accreditation, and board requirements. Ensures that all deadlines set by MUSC, GME Office, Division/Department, and ACGME are adhered to. - 30% - Provides primary program support for Adult Congenital Heart Disease programs. Provide evaluation results, assure evaluations are created and linked to the appropriate people and print out the evaluations for semiannual and annual evaluations. Assist the Program Directors with all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, curriculum, scheduling evaluation, graduation and maintaining all records related to training activities. Utilizes data and best practices to inform strategic initiatives to advance GME HR Functions, including but not limited to, recruitment and resident/fellow well-being. Counsels Program Directors, faculty, staff, and residents/fellows on policies, regulatory, accreditation, and board requirements. Ensures that all deadlines set by MUSC, GME Office, Division/Department, and ACGME are adhered to. - 10% - Assist in coordinating fellowship interview days. Communicate with faculty, staff, and candidates on tech details for the day. Ensure interview days are orderly and informative. Provides guidance for resident/fellow recruitment, credentialing, and onboarding to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies and hospital policies. Upon entry into program, manage the support and orientation of the new hire activities for these candidates.
- 10% - Support the management of rotation schedule of fellows, in collaboration with other program coordinators. Ensure that monthly call schedule changes for fellows are made including call schedule changes to Simon on call system and Qgenda and maintain current schedules. Collaborate with other fellowship program staff, including Program Manager I, in reviewing procurement / reimbursement requests and ensuring that they are processed appropriately.
Collaborates with Program Manager I and Division Administrator in ensuring that reimbursements do not exceed budget. Update websites (MUSC website, ACGME, ABIM, Evalue, ERAS, ACC) and maintain social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram), in collaboration with DOM. Regularly attends all monthly program coordinator meetings, GME educational offerings, and GMEC. Participates in GME program reviews and serves on a GMEC subcommittee to assist with developing and implementing best practices.
Support the management of application database. Distribute applicant’s information to appropriate physician as directed by Fellowship Director. - 10% - Assist in the coordination of fellow moonlighting, ensuring that any fellows wanting to moonlight in CICU or other…
