Position Type: Full Time (36 hours)

Work Schedule: 7p-7a

What You'll Do

Testing & Quality Control

  • Perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing
  • Conduct equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Perform and evaluate quality control to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve problems prior to reporting results
  • Maintain competency and proficiency standards

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain required documentation for laboratory procedures
  • Process requisitions and distribute reports
  • Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance

Education & Support

  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development
  • Assist with training students and new team members
  • Provide consultation and support to clinical staff

Operations & Safety

  • Practice efficient use of supplies and inventory management
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment

Teamwork & Communication

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical teams
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Participate in staff meetings and department initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science
  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MT/MLS program preferred
  • Pre-1987 two-year certification recognized as MT
  • One year of laboratory scientist experience preferred (Clinical internships of 12 months meet this requirement)
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Ability to perform complex analytical testing
  • Effective troubleshooting and quality assurance skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow written protocols and regulatory standards
