Performs tasks essential to the operation of the department. Uses knowledge of operations and programs to make independent decisions and establish procedures that assist the entire department. Functions as an out-patient scheduler, handles registration of patients for respective locations, and processes incoming calls to appropriate individuals.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience.
- Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred.
- Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred.
- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and working indoors/outdoors as required.
- Ability to work from elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, and to bend, twist, reach, squat, and perform repetitive hand/wrist/shoulder motions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted and to push/pull related equipment as needed.
- Vision: ability to maintain 20/40 vision, with or without correction; color vision and peripheral vision as appropriate.
- Hearing: ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required; ability to work in a latex-safe environment.
