Assists in the technical and clerical aspects of the Laboratory department. Manages collection, receipt and processing of all specimens. Performs specimen collection, completes computerized registration, performs waived testing, processes microbiological samples, assists technical staff with sample preparation, contacts external facilities for stat and critical results, completes basic quality control steps and manages reagent inventory.

Familiarity with a hospital laboratory is desired. Medical terminology preferred.
