Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and national certification for a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

• Position is in a Cath Lab with 5 procedure rooms and a Hybrid OR
• Handles cases including Right and Left Heart Cath Diagnostics, PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, Mitra Clip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, Peripheral, and Vascular procedures
• Adult patient population in an acute care, academic teaching environment
• Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital
• EPIC is the preferred EMR
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required 1-2 nights per week and one weekend every six-week period, with possible holiday call
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Block scheduling may be considered at the manager's discretion
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Previous staff (including PRN) must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be declared at time of application; approval is based on unit need
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as part of the on-call schedule
• Non-billable onboarding modules must be completed prior to start
• During hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Parking is available on nights and weekends for a one-time $20 pass fee

• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• National certification required: SCRQSA and either CCI with RCIS/RCES or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) accepted
• Radiation badge must be provided by the applicant's agency
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• License required if applicable
