Job Description:

We are seeking a competent Caregiver to provide professional and compassionate care to our clients. This role requires availability most of the day and week. It is a rewarding position, as caregivers assist individuals who are ill, injured, disabled, or elderly, and are often grateful for high-quality support. The ideal candidate will be patient, friendly, and possess excellent communication skills. You should be capable of following instructions and performing various tasks to assist clients effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with taking prescribed medication
• Support clients with ambulation and mobility, including doctor’s appointments and walks
• Help with personal care and hygiene
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with client assistance when possible
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Report any unusual incidents
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies

Skills:

• Proven caregiving experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) (Preferred)
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, respecting dietary restrictions
• Adherence to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate attitude
• Good time management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethical standards
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
