Overview

The Patient Access Services Supervisor reports to the Rehab Manager and supervises daily registration and scheduling functions to ensure high customer service and accurate billing for OT/PT/SLP outpatient services at MUHA.

• Supervise daily registration and scheduling functions of staff.
• Monitor performance of Patient Access Services Representatives to increase patient satisfaction.
• Verify and prepare patient accounts for billing to maximize payment.
• Maintain operational systems and employee performance.
• Communicate effectively with patients/families, physicians, employers, and third party payers.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and two years directly related customer service work experience; or associate's degree and three years related; high school diploma and four years related.
• Prior customer service work in a medical office or hospital environment preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Effective stress management and ability to work rotating shifts.

Stand continuous, sit continuous, walk continuous, lift up to 50 lbs. force, maintain vision 20/40, effective stress management. Rotating shifts and overtime as required.
