Job Description Summary
Under indirect supervision, the Pediatric Ultrasound Technologist I provides high quality sonograms in a dedicated pediatric setting for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Radiologist, adhering to all quality and patient safety standards, as well as standards for professional behavior, as defined by the organization.

Essential Job Functions- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and all hospital and community caregivers.
- Manage patient priority.
- Collaborate for patient care coordination in the outpatient setting.
- Prepare and communicate preliminary reports in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate competency in all aspects of RIS and PACS related to modality‑specific functions and use.
- Adhere to all department policies, procedures, and protocols.
Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Two to three years’ experience performing dedicated pediatric ultrasound is preferred.
Required Registration/Certification- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, either an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification.
