Job Description
1.
Purpose:
The Clinical Specialists provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics.
2. Requirements:
a. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (Include physical and mental demands of the position-attach demands checklist if necessary):
i. The position of Clinical Pharmacy Specialist requires a doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy.
ii. Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency program:
Two years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience may substitute for the clinical pharmacy residency program.
b. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS (If applicable to position):
i. SC Pharmacist License (or eligible for SC Pharmacist License)
ii. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification:
Must be BLS Certified within three months of hire date and maintain certification throughout employment.
3. Physical Requirements

o Ability to push/pull objects to 50 lbs., unassisted. (Frequent)
o Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous)

o Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous)
