Activity​/Member Assistant

Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation is looking for a compassionate and energetic Member Assistant to join our team in Charleston, SC! If you have a passion for working with the elderly and young adults with various cognitive and/or physical disabilities in a supportive and engaging environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday (We are open 7:30am-4:00pm)
• No weekends or holidays = flexibility!

• Assist the Activity Director in implementing engaging activities, including arts, crafts, exercise, spiritual, music, games, & life skills
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members when needed, including feeding, toileting, ambulation and transfers
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members and their families
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space. Assist members with activities and encourage participation
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere, promote member independence in a positive manner
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young adult disabled individuals
• Must be dependable with reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license
• CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with outgoing personality
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Clean background check and drug test
• Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks (toileting, ambulation, feeding, etc)
