To excel as the Director of Finance at James Island Christian School, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred. A strong background in school finance, payroll, or nonprofit accounting is highly valuable, as well as proficiency in essential software tools, including Quick Books, FACTS, iSolved, Payfluence, and Google Workspace.

Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills are also essential, enabling the Director to navigate the complexities of financial oversight while supporting the school’s mission.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
  Certified Public Accountant license preferred
• Experience with school finance, payroll or nonprofit accounting strongly preferred
