Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for construction? Join our growing team as a Corporate Controller and help shape the financial future of a dynamic, mid-sized general contractor based in Charleston, South Carolina.

As Corporate Controller, you will oversee all aspects of corporate finance, accounting operations, budgeting, and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and has a deep understanding of construction job costing and project-driven financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting functions including GL, AR/AP, payroll, and job cost accounting
• Own month-end close, internal financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Partner with leadership on annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Oversee external audit preparation and manage banking relationships
• Implement process improvements and systems upgrades to support growth

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction
• Strong knowledge of WIP schedules, job costing, and project-based reporting
• Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, CMiC)
• Proven leadership ability with a collaborative and proactive approach
