Overview
Organization in the Charleston area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial planning while supporting leadership and the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities- Manage all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and collections
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead annual operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning
- Monitor cash flow, reserves, and financial performance
- Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with laws and governing documents
- Support investment oversight, insurance management, and reserve studies
- Collaborate with executive leadership and the Board on financial reporting and strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- CPA preferred
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and accounting system proficiency
