Senior Accountant

Position Summary

Sod Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and operationally minded Senior Accountant to provide accounting functions, enhance internal controls, and support scalable growth. This role will provide support to the Chief Financial Officer in providing management with timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong GAAP knowledge, experience in working collaboratively on a financial team, and a hands-on readiness to work that thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

• Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
• Manage general ledger reconciliation and month-end closing processes
• Assist CFO with preparation of monthly financial statements on a GAAP and cash basis
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions
• Oversee and participate in accounts payable/receivable processing
• Assist with payroll, employee benefits, and insurance administration
• Support tax accountants and compliance audits

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (knowledge of Quick Books is a plus)
