Job Title: Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer with strong HVAC and thermal design experience to support modular power and data center projects. The role involves designing thermal and ventilation systems for customized AC/DC power modules, IT modules, telecom facilities, and industrial data centers.
The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with structural, electrical, fire protection, commissioning, and integration teams to deliver high‑quality mechanical system designs that meet project requirements and applicable building codes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead conceptual and detailed design of thermal and ventilation systems including:
- HVAC systems
- Equipment layouts & general arrangements
- Fire suppression layouts
- Develop Schematic Design (SD), Detailed Design (DD), and Construction Drawing (CD) documentation.
- Perform thermal transfer calculations and basic CFD analysis.
- Prepare and review integration drawings for mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Review and approve mechanical submittals.
- Conduct site visits, system audits, startup support, and commissioning validation.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to specify cooling systems and mechanical components.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal background preferred)
- Minimum 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
- Strong experience in HVAC and thermal system design
- Knowledge of building codes related to modular/transportable buildings
- Experience with:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications
- Experience with thermal calculations and basic CFD analysis
- Strong project management and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License (nice to have)
- Experience in Data Center, Telecom, or Industrial facility design
